Het waren de jaren van schitterende games: 1996: Duke Nukem 3D (voor mij en een deel van mijn vrienden nog steeds een tijdloze first person shooter), Transport Tycoon, Civilization II (AoE kon hier gewoon nooit aan tippen) * 1997: C&C: Red Alert, Need for Speed 2 en Carmageddon * om in 1998 af te sluiten met Dune 2000 en nog een laatste stuiptrekking een beetje later met Starcraft.
