En toen brak de zon door de wolken en kocht ons vader een eigen pc. De eerste spellen die ik erop speelde waren Fury3x en het eindeloos boeiender Terminal Velocity. Het waren de jaren van schitterende games: 1996: Duke Nukem 3D (voor mij en een deel van mijn vrienden nog steeds een tijdloze first person shooter), Transport Tycoon, Civilization II (AoE kon hier gewoon nooit aan tippen) * 1997: C&C: Red Alert, Need for Speed 2 en Carmageddon * om in 1998 af te sluiten met Dune 2000 en nog een laatste stuiptrekking een beetje later met Starcraft. En ze mogen nu nog komen zeveren over hun Halo’s en Medal of Honor’s, mij kan het allemaal niet schelen … ik ben blijven steken in het midden van de jaren ’90, toen de games nog echte arcade waren en niet zo realistisch mogelijk wilden zijn.
