Opgepikt bij Stijn en als filmliefhebber kon ik natuurlijk niet weerstaan om zelf ook eens te kijken wat ik al achter de kiezen heb en wat ik nog te doen heb.
En ja ik mag tevreden zijn, een schoon gedeelte, 117, van de lijst staat vet (het concept is de top 250 van IMDB te kopiëren en alle films die je al gezien hebt te markeren).
Binnen een halfuur ga ik overigens naar Million Dollar Baby kijken en in mei wordt Seven Samurai vertoond in de Filmparade…

Haha, dit is echt te grappig. Ge hebt er meer gezien dan mij, maar ik heb wel keiveel films die gij nog ni gezien hebt al wél gezien :p (7 samurai, N by NW, rear window, M, Requiem for a dream, fargo, …)
Ik vind de imdb-top wel afwijkend naar de modernere cinema toe overwegend, maar mss is dat maar een idee en ben ik compleet mis, ik krijg gewoon altijd dat gevoel als ik op imdb surf, kwantificeren is nog nooit in me opgekomen 😉

Oh Tom. De zeven Samurais is toch die oude Japanse film uit ’59 hé, als ik me niet vergis of was het ’29? Soit, als het die is , moet ik hem zeker en vast terugzien want het is een van mijn favoriete films en daar is ook de Magnificent Seven met Yull Brunner op gebaseerd, die ik ook wel een van de betere westerns vind, naast de spaghetti-westerns.
En is dat dan de Filmparade op canvas of nog iets anders?
Nee verca, de filmparade die ik bedoel is die van vzw LaLuna. Dat is een vereniging van de betere alternatieve cinema’s in Vlaanderen (Sphinx, Limelight, Lumiere en Cartoons). En die houden jaarlijks een filmparade met een bepaald thema. Dit jaar is het gemakshalve de 20e eeuw… meer info op http://www.laluna-vzw.be . The Seven Samurai ofte Shichinin no Samurai is idd die film van Akira Kurosawa uit 1954. In Antwerpen spelen ze hem in de Cartoons op 17 mei om 20u00 …
Ho, bedankt, die ga ik zeker zien, daar komt niks tussen. Alweer geluk hebben dat ze hem hier in Antwerpen spelen. Zal mijn alarm opzetten 😉
Ge ziet, als ik geduld heb, kom ik vroeg of laat tegen waar ik naar verlang. Ik heb de film in Tsjechië gezien toen ik 10 jaar was geloof ik en ik was compleet overdonderd door de heldhaftigheid, vriendschap, trouw, gevoeligheid, humor en levenswijsheid die de film domineren. Het is me steeds bijgebleven en hoe vaak ik er al naar niet verlangd heb om die terug te zien. Heb hem sindsdien nooit meer teruggezien in de zalen, vandaar mijn dankbaarheid, mijn dag is goed 😉
